The Intracoastal Model Rail Road Club here in Calabash, a 3c Public Service Corporation, is researching the rail line that came to the docks in Calabash in the early 1900’s.
They hope to gather enough data to model an actual scene from this era in one of our train layouts — which they display to the public several times a year.
The club is hoping that long time residents might have inherited documents or photos from parents or grandparents that may have information about the area from the early 1900s.
